Nearly finished talking to myself !!!

More of Woodcutter's Daughter conversing ....

In 2002 after my move I self published ( long distance ) my last stitchery book

A Year in The Country
*****
Below photograph are some of my early paint designs... chunky ones

Living in Melbourne, I did enjoy.
I also was fortunate to work in
Cinnamon Country country store in Glen Iris
For about 12 months, mostly a couple of days a week.
The store dripped with country decorating from USA..

Not long before I decided I wanted to own a house again
and
Bought another house & moved back to the country Cohuna
I was referred to a Danish distributor Marienhoffgaarden
Who selected painted brooches to distribute in Scandnavia & Europe.

Below is Lucy doll  which was a project doll in a magazine...
Maybe Homespun

This doll was designed for Country Threads Magazine 2nd issue I think

Sardine always stayed out of the limelight !

The Gathering of Hearts & Hands
This was the first Gathering in Australia..
It was in Macquarie Primary School in Canberra

The samples of stitcheries that were sold at Houston Wholesale show...
Those gorgeous stitchers who came to our aid...
The tweeny cushions are items from the first book Simple Stitchings

Living in Victoria was just Millie the cat & me !!!
It has been 10 years nearly since I made that leap of faith &
destiny took me on a ride of change with in myself and the world around me..
My mother died in this time...
I moved 6 times long hauls..
to new places...knew very few... left with knowing lovely friends..
I have become a gypsy..
it is a little unconvential but I have met many unconvential people....
Millie died.. so I am now catless, except for a visiting cat !

I participated in Wholesale Trade events
which were such fun...
I loved the connection with the people in the industry.
My site at these shows was next to Anni & Pete Downs from the Home Patch... lovely to get to know people.
I had invites to other shops Gatherings sharing the design stage with many designers... Marg Low, Natalie Lymer, Rosalie Quinlan, Leanne Beasely, Gail Pan, Viv Robertson,Jennifer Noles
I cannot recall.

I have done to 2 magical workshops with
Kindred Spirits when they came out from America.

I have spent many long hours driving.... painting...and I suppose moving !
The last journey will be as I change to Theodora Cleave
That reminds me
I used to run a newsletter which I called
Journey  with the Woodcutter's Daughter.
I think issued every 1/4 & cost $15 a year.
It was a paper world then & enveloping was a nightmare !!
